progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Another traffic accident between a motorcycle and a TransJakarta bus occurred. This incident occurred on Friday, March 6, 2026, at around 5:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time on Jalan Bandengan Utara, North Jakarta. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

Head of the Sub-Directorate of Law Enforcement at the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate, AKBP Ojo Ruslani in his official statement, stated, that the incident began when the motorcyclist was traveling from east to west.

Upon arrival at the scene, precisely at the Bandengan Pedestrian Bridge (JPO), it was suspected that the victim, due to a lack of concentration and caution, collided with the TransJakarta bus divider.

The victim fell into the dedicated TransJakarta lane. Shortly thereafter, a TransJakarta bus arrived, directly striking the victim, killing him.

“Unable to avoid the collision, the TransJakarta bus coming from behind hit the motorcyclist, who was lying in the busway lane, killing him. The vehicles involved were also damaged,” explained AKBP Ojo, Friday, March 6, 2026. (Bembo)
