progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya deployed 6.802 joint personnel during Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026. Thousands of these personnel were stationed at various strategic points to ensure the smooth and safe travel to and from tourist destinations attracting people returning home during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The Head of Public Relations at the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated in an official statement, that in addition to thousands of personnel, his office has also prepared 68 security and service posts to assist people traveling home.

“To secure the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic during Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026, the Polda Metro Jaya deployed 6.802 personnel and 68 integrated service security posts established by the Traffic Directorate and the Kapolres’s ranks. So, there’s no need to worry,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi at the Bulog Complex at the Jakarta Regional Office on Friday, March 13, 2026.

The existence of these posts, Kombes Pol Bhud continued, explaining that these posts not only provide information on traffic flow, traffic congestion, and alternative routes, but also serve as service points for travelers who need assistance during their journey.

Rest areas are also provided for drivers experiencing fatigue or drowsiness. Furthermore, rest areas can be used in the event of problems such as flat tires or other technical issues.

In addition to securing traffic flow, the Polda Metro Jaya also urges residents leaving their homes during the homecoming period to ensure their homes are secure. They are asked to lock their homes securely, turn off unnecessary electricity, and cut off the supply of LPG to prevent potential leaks.

Furthermore, free vehicle storage facilities are also provided for people planning to return home. This service is available at police stations, resort police stations, and regional police stations.

“People can leave their two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles by showing their vehicle documents. We will guard the vehicles while they are being stored,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

To secure homes left by travelers, Kombes Pol Bhudi continued, the Polda Metro Jaya, in collaboration with the TNI, the Kodam Jaya, and local governments, have also reactivated the integrated neighborhood security system (Satkamling). This system is also supported by regular police patrols on a small, medium, and large scale.

“Polda Metro Jaya is fully prepared to provide a sense of security and comfort to the public during the Eid homecoming season. So, let’s work together to make Homecoming Safe, Families Happy,” he explained. (Bembo)
