progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The perpetrator of an assault in Cimanggis, Depok, identified as A, was arrested by the Operational Team of Unit 1 of the General Sub-Directorate/Jatanras, Directorate of General Crimes, Polda Metro Jaya. The perpetrator was arrested in the Cilincing Village, North Jakarta. Along with the arrest, a red shirt and orange pants worn by the perpetrator during the assault were also confiscated.

The violence was perpetrated by A on Tuesday, September 30, against the victim, identified as IN. According to the victim’s statement in the police report (LP), the perpetrator choked, hit, and pushed the victim down the stairs, resulting in bruises and pain to the head.

Based on the report, the Operational Team of Unit 1 of the General Sub-Directorate/Jatanras, led by Head of Unit 1, Kompol Olaf Ferdinan, then launched an investigation. Observations at several locations revealed the perpetrator was hiding in the Cilincing area. So, it worked!

In his official statement, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto explained, that the swift and responsive action of the Operational Team Unit 1, General Sub-Directorate/Jatanras, demonstrates the Polda Metro Jaya commitment to providing a sense of security to the public.

“We also ensure and guarantee that every report will be followed up professionally and proportionally,” he explained on, Saturday, (15/11).

He also stated, that in the process of solving cases, the Polri always prioritizes a humane approach and respects the rights of both victims and perpetrators. This includes maintaining transparency at every stage of case handling.

“The Polri consistently enforces the law without discrimination and continues to improve the quality of public services. And every member of the public has the right to protection and legal certainty,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto again. (Bembo)
