Polda West Java Traffic Directorate’s Ramp Check Innovation, Roadworthy Vehicles Affixed with Special Stickers

Implementation of ramp checks by the Polda West Java Traffic Directorate to ensure fleet and personnel readiness ahead of Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda West Java Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) continues to implement preemptive and preventive measures to enhance public transportation security ahead of the holy month of Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr. Fleet roadworthiness is continuously monitored, as is driver health on the roads.
On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, a ramp check was conducted collaboratively with Jasa Raharja, the Transportation Agency, the Health Agency, and the Bandung Regency Traffic Unit at the Soroja Toll Gate, Bandung Regency. This ramp check is part of the preemptive and preventive measures of Operation Lodaya Safety 2026, which is on its 10th day.
In an official statement, the Pold West Java Traffic Directorate (Dirlantas), Kombes Pol Raydian Kokrosono stated, that this measure is an important tool in the initial phase before Operation Ketupat Lodaya, which is scheduled to begin in the next two weeks.
“We, along with relevant agencies, are carrying out preemptive and preventive measures on public roads to check the readiness of both people and vehicles. This ramp check is our effort to check driver readiness and the roadworthiness of vehicles that will be used ahead of Eid,” explained Kombes Pol Raydian Kokrosono, Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
In implementing this ramp check, one innovation was used that stood out. This innovation was the affixing of a special sticker to vehicles that had passed the ramp check. Vehicles with this special sticker were guaranteed roadworthy and would not be re-inspected at other points. Passenger comfort was maintained.
Meanwhile, regarding violations found in the field, the violations were only minor administrative matters. They were dealt with firmly but with solutions. Violators were given time to complete their paperwork or advised to use a backup driver.
“Alhamdulillah, most of them are fine. Roadworthy vehicles were given a sticker. With this sticker, the vehicle will not be re-inspected to avoid disrupting passenger travel,” Kombes Pol Raydian said.
He also apologized to passengers if their journeys were slightly hampered by these checks. He stated that the implementation of these ramp checks was solely to protect public lives.
“We apologize if this has caused any inconvenience to passengers. However, we want to ensure that human safety on the road remains protected,” he added.
By implementing these ramp checks, Kombes Pol Raydian continued, the Polda West Java Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas Polda Jabar) hopes that the number of accident fatalities during the 2026 Eid homecoming and return period can be reduced as much as possible. This will also create a safe and conducive traffic situation for all residents of West Java. (Bembo)
