President Prabowo Subianto’s Wise Action Rehabilitates Three ASDP Indonesia Ferry Directors

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, along with Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, delivered a press statement regarding the developments in the legal cases involving several directors of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) since July 2024. The press statement, delivered in the Cabinet Meeting Room at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday, (25/11), also demonstrated the government’s commitment to addressing public concerns.

In his explanation, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated, that his institution had received various public concerns and reports regarding the dynamics at ASDP. To address these concerns, the DPR, through its Legal Commission, has conducted an in-depth study of the case, which began investigations in July 2024.

“We have submitted the results of our legal review to the government regarding case Number 68/Pid.Sus-TPK/2025/PN.Jkt.Pst in the names of Ira Puspadewi, Muhammad Yusuf Hadi, and Muhammad Adhi Caksono,” said Sufmi Dasco.

“And based on our communication with the government, thank God, today the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, has signed the rehabilitation letter for these three individuals,” he added.

Sufmi Dasco also explained, that the government has emphasized that this rehabilitation measure is part of President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to providing legal justice that truly supports truth and legal certainty for the people.

From the government’s perspective, he continued, legal justice is not merely a formal process, but also involves honesty in assessing facts, objectivity in decision-making, and the state’s courage to correct any inaccuracies in law enforcement. The rehabilitation of the ASDP Directors is a clear example of the state’s readiness to act when the facts demonstrate the need to restore someone’s good name.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi also explained this matter. He also outlined the chronology of the government’s review process before the rehabilitation decision was made. He stated that public requests regarding various legal cases had undergone a thorough review process by the relevant ministries.

“Everything related to the cases that occurred, and there were a lot of them. And during the process, studies were conducted, reviewed from various perspectives, including legal experts,” said Minister Pras.

Finally, following the rehabilitation request submitted by the DPR, the Minister of Law sent a letter to President Prabowo for consideration. Minister Pras emphasized that President Prabowo had decided to exercise the rehabilitation rights for the three ASDP officials.

“Based on the request from the Ministry of Law, the President gave his approval, and thank God, he signed it this afternoon. And the three of us were asked to inform the public,” Minister Pras added.

Minister Pras also ensured that all subsequent processes would be carried out in accordance with applicable regulations.
