15 Days of Operation Pekat Jaya 2026, Polda Metro Follow Up on 772 Cases and Arrest 937 Criminals

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya 15-day pre-Ramadhan operation, codenamed Operation Pekat Jaya 2026, successfully apprehended 937 criminals in the Jakarta and surrounding areas. Of those arrested, 487 were detained in accordance with applicable law. The remaining 450 were given counseling.

“A total of 937 criminals were caught in Operation Pekat Jaya 2026. The majority, 487 people, were detained in accordance with the law related to their crimes. These perpetrators came from 772 cases handled by the Polda Metro Jaya during Operation Pekat Jaya 2026,” said the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, in a press conference held at the Polda Metro Jaya Directorate of Criminal Investigation Building on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

He also explained, that the 937 criminals were caught after the Polda Metro Jaya followed up on 772 criminal cases during the 15-day operation.

In addition to successfully nabbing hundreds of perpetrators, a number of items of evidence were also confiscated, including sharp weapons and narcotics, including 225.280 illegal drug pills, 11.422.03 grams of methamphetamine, and 40.492.8 grams of marijuana. This also included synthetic tobacco and ecstasy powder, of course, as well as 20.802 bottles of liquor and 572 firecrackers.

In addition to Operation Pekat Jaya 2026, the Polda Metro Jaya also conducted enhanced routine operations during the same period. As a result, 603 criminals were apprehended.

“Of these, 158 people were detained for legal processing. Meanwhile, 445 others received counseling,” he said.

“Together, let’s witness various pieces of evidence confiscated from the operation. There were various types of sharp weapons, as well as various types of drugs, alcohol, and narcotics,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin, who was also present at the press conference also added. He explained, that during the 15-day Operation Pekat Jaya 2026, from January 28 to February 11, 2026, the Polda Metro Jaya had followed up on 772 cases.

The hundreds of cases followed up on targeted incidents, including brawls, drug use, illegal alcohol, street crimes such as theft with violence (curas), aggravated theft (karat), ordinary theft, the distribution of illegal fireworks, and thuggery.

“The operation targeted 30 target locations, which we can follow up with law enforcement action. We also took preventive and deterrent measures. Similar actions were also taken at 742 non-target locations,” said Kombes Pol Iman.

“This means we want to clear and secure all operational and non-operational target areas from malicious criminal activity. That’s the gist of the goal, bro,” he added.

Kombes Pol Iman further stated, that during Operation Pekat Jaya 2026, aggravated theft, or curat, was the most common case handled by the Polda Metro Jaya and its Polres ranks. There were 77 cases of theft, out of a total of 772 cases handled. This was followed by 17 cases of motor vehicle theft, 3 cases of theft with violence, and 24 cases of brawls.
