progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The alleged perpetrator, identified as J.B.I., was finally apprehended by the Sub-Directorate of Violent Crimes (Jatanras) of the Polda Metro’s Criminal Investigation Directorate in Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday, February 24, 2026, at 11:50 PM.

The victim, identified as B.S sustained serious stab wounds after an argument with several unidentified individuals claiming to be debt collectors regarding the repossession of a vehicle. Fortunately, the victim received immediate medical treatment.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, confirmed the arrest in an official statement.

“The suspected perpetrator of the stabbing of the victim, a lawyer, in the Kelapa Dua area, South Tangerang, has been successfully apprehended by the Polda Metro Jaya’s Criminal Investigation Directorate’s Sub-Directorate of Jatanras. After escaping for some distance, the suspect is now in custody for further investigation,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

He also emphasized that the police will always prioritize public protection and ensure that any acts of violence are processed according to the law.

“We respond quickly to any incident that causes unrest. Debt collection must not be carried out outside of legal mechanisms, especially if accompanied by intimidation or violence. Any violations will be dealt with firmly according to the law,” he stressed.
