progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kombes Pol Ronald Fredy Christian Sipayung was one of 1,086 Polri officers affected by the massive wave of transfers launched by Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, on Monday, December 15, 2025. Kombes Pol Ronald’s name was included in Secret Telegram Letter (STR) Number ST/2781B/XII/KEP./2025, signed by the Assistant Kapolri for Human Resources, Irjen Pol Anwar.

The STR reads, “Kombes Pol Ronald Fredy Christian Sipayung, Kapolresta of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Polda Metro Jaya has been appointed to the new position of Director of Narcotics Investigation of the Polda Bangka Belitung Islands”. This means that the three-star officer from the Wicaksana Laghawa Battalion, Akpol 2002, must immediately leave his current post and head to the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Polda Bangka Belitung Island which is approximately 799 kilometers away.

For Kombes Pol Ronald, a tour of duty trip to Sumatera Island is considered a common occurrence. The 799-kilometer distance from the Polresta Soekarno-Hatta Airport to the Polda Bangka Belitung Islands is still relatively short. It’s still considerably shorter than his 2,665-kilometer tour of duty from the Polda West Kalimantan to the Polda North Sumatera in 2010 after completing his education at PTIK – now STIK.
