progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Two thieves who broke through the ceiling of the Pandai Gadai Shop in the Srengseng Sawah area, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta (Jaksel) were successfully apprehended by officers from the Polda Metro Jaya’s Criminal Investigation Directorate on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. The two thieves, identified as MN and RAJ, were apprehended in Bojonggede District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, stated in his statement, that MN and RAJ carried out their crime on December 15, 2025, at around 1:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. They stole 15 pawned cellphones worth Rp88 million.

“In a post circulating on social media, more than one perpetrator was seen breaking into a pawn shop through the ceiling. After the ceiling was breached, the perpetrators entered the pawn shop,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

The perpetrator, identified as MN, acted as the executor of the theft. Meanwhile, RAJ monitored the situation outside the shop. Another perpetrator, identified as A, remains on the wanted list.
