The Boston Celtics won their first West Coast road game at Chase Center in San Francisco, 121-110.

Boston’s young duo, Harper and Walsh, provided a major boost for the Boston Celtics late in the first quarter. The two combined for 11 points in the first quarter. The Warriors continued to attack throughout the quarter, hitting 8 of 17 three-pointers. But Boston showed a solid team performance, leading 36-32 at halftime.
Vooch hit his first three-pointer from the corner to start the second quarter. Gonzalez hit a three-pointer from the corner in front of the Boston Celtics bench, giving Boston a ten-point lead. Hugo deflected a pass attempt, and Boston regained possession. Pritchard and Gonzalez led a 13-2 run to start the second quarter.
Sam Hauser delivered a pinpoint pass to Vooch, who then scored after a sprint down the court, giving Boston a 19-point lead in a dominant second quarter. Golden State had scored just two points in the second quarter until the seventh minute. Al Horford was fouled for elbowing rookie Hugo Gonzalez. Golden State closed the gap to 20 points after Joe rested a starter early in the fourth quarter. Scheierman halted Boston’s scoring run after the visitors ran out of points. Joe Mazzulla reintroduced Jaylen Brown with six minutes remaining, leading the game to a 17-point lead.
Santos hit a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 14. Pritchard lost the ball in the middle of the court and then committed a second turnover, prompting cheers from the Golden State crowd. Pritchard then hit two difficult, pressure-filled three-pointers, bringing Boston to 117 points with four minutes remaining. Jaylen Brown’s spinning jump shot at midcourt was his 23rd point of the night and was enough for Boston to win the game as Golden State ran out of time to rally.
The Detroit Pistons defeated the New York Knicks earlier in the night, meaning the Boston Celtics moved back into second place in the Eastern Conference, one game ahead of New York.
