progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri officially launched the Police and School Community Development Partnership Forum (FKPMS) in Jakarta on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The FKPMS is a step towards strengthening early detection and prevention of bullying and problem solving in educational settings.
In his remarks, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ emphasized that schools and Islamic schools (madrasah) are places where the nation’s future generations grow and must be maintained in a safe, orderly, comfortable, and conducive environment. The FKPMS launch was prompted by various challenges in the educational environment, ranging from bullying, violence, harassment, brawls, the negative influence of social media, to deviant behavior due to social pressure.
According to Polda Metro Jaya records, around 2.706 cases of violence against women and children were handled in the Jakarta area throughout 2025. This means that child protection remains a serious challenge that requires integrated management.
“The presence of the FKPMS is a strategic step to strengthen partnerships between the police, schools, parents, and the community. This forum serves as a platform for communication, coordination, and prompt and appropriate problem-solving, in order to create a safe, orderly, and conducive educational environment,” explained Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’.
He also emphasized the important role of vice principals for student affairs and student council leaders from junior high, senior high, vocational high schools, and Islamic high schools throughout Jakarta in building a healthy, disciplined school culture free from violence, bullying, and drug abuse.
Through the FKPMS, communication between school elements, parents, the community, and the police can also be strengthened, allowing potential disturbances to be identified early, properly mapped, and addressed quickly and appropriately.

“With the embryonic FKPMS currently in 11 schools, we hope this partnership forum can continue to develop in the Jakarta area and become a collaborative model for implementation in other schools,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’.
“The Polda Metro Jaya will also continue to support preventive measures by prioritizing a humanistic and professional approach to create a safe, orderly, and conducive educational environment,” he added.
Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ hopes, that the launch of the FKPMS will be the beginning of more concrete collaborative work in building a safe and sustainable educational ecosystem. This forum is also expected to provide a map of school vulnerabilities, clear communication channels, a space for counseling and problem-solving, and the active involvement of all relevant stakeholders.
“The Polda Metro Jaya is firmly committed to remaining present as a community partner in maintaining the security of educational environments. This FKPMS demonstrates our commitment to serving the community and maintaining security stability within the Polda Metro Jaya jurisdiction,” he emphasized.
The launch was attended by representatives of the local government, the TNI, religious leaders, community leaders, regional officials, school officials, and students. The presence of these various stakeholders demonstrates a collaborative synergy to maintain a safe and conducive public order and security situation in the school environment.
In addition to those who attended in person, 11 schools also participated in this activity via Zoom Meeting, which serves as the starting point for the formation of the FKPMS in the Jakarta area. It is hoped that this initiative will be expanded and emulated by other schools to create a safe, orderly, and conducive educational environment. (Bembo)
