Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026: Garut Polres Deploy 1.747 Joint Personnel

The Garut Police deployed 1.747 joint personnel in the Centralized Police Operation Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 to secure the homecoming and return travel for the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday.

progresifjaya.co.id, GARUT – The Garut Polres deployed 1.747 joint personnel in the Centralized Police Operation, Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026. Thousands of joint personnel from the Sector Police, the TNI, and other relevant agencies were deployed specifically to ensure the security and smooth running of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H celebrations in Garut Regency.

The 1.747 personnel deployed consisted of 431 Garut Polres personnel, 169 Polda of the West Java personnel, and 1.147 personnel from various agencies, including the TNI, Transportation Agency, Community Protection Agency (Linmas), Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Fire Department, Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Health Agency, National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), and volunteers.

Polda of the West Java personnel were also stationed at several strategic locations, including the Limbangan-Lewo, Malangbong-Gentong, and the southern coastal tourist areas of Garut. Security was also maintained at the Limbangan GTC Integrated Post, the Kubang Security Post, Limbangan Market, and Lewo Market.

Kapolres Garut, AKBP Yugi Bayu Hendarto, stated in an official statement, that this centralized operation would be carried out for 13 days, from 12:00 WIB on March 13, 2026, to 2:00 WIB.

This operation focused on maintaining public order and security through preventive and preemptive measures. This includes public relations activities, law enforcement, and operational assistance.

“This operation is being carried out to ensure that the public can celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely, comfortably, smoothly, and securely,” said Kapolres Yugi on Friday, March 13, 2026.

To support security, the Garut Polres have also established several security and service posts at strategic locations. These include the Limbangan GTC Integrated Post, the Guntur Terminal Service Post, and several security posts on main routes such as Limbangan, Malangbong, Kadungora, Tarogong, Garut City, and the Cikajang and Pameungpeuk areas.

In addition, there are 12 security posts in tourist areas and 30 traffic posts on routes prone to traffic congestion. Rest area facilities have also been prepared at the Babussalam Kersamanah Mosque to provide comfort for travelers passing through the Garut area.

Kapolres Yugi hopes, that with 100% personnel prepared and the infrastructure in place, the homecoming and return travel, and tourist visits during the Eid al-Fitr holiday in Garut Regency will proceed orderly and smoothly.

“We also urge the public to continue to obey traffic regulations, maintain safety while traveling, and utilize the service posts provided if they need assistance from officers. Let’s work together to realize a Safe Homecoming, a Happy Family,” said the two-star officer, who previously served as Head of Traffic for the Bekasi City Metro Polres. (Bembo)
