Participants in the 2026 Operation Ketupat Jaya Night Run competed to enliven the event.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Night Run Ops Ketupat Jaya 2026. That’s the title of one exciting activity offered by the Polda Metro Jaya to connect with the community. This activity features a fun nighttime running competition during the month of Ramadhan.

The event, initiated by the Polda Metro Jaya, was officially opened by the Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, on Friday evening, March 13, 2026. Despite being held at night, no one expected the registration to reach 1.178 participants.
However, to ensure the quality and safety of the race, only 195 runners were selected to represent each police station within the Polda Metro Jaya jurisdiction. The 195 runners consisted of 181 men and 14 women.

“This Night Run activity should continue to be promoted as a positive space for the younger generation and the community, especially during the month of Ramadan. And it’s not just about exercise; it’s also a good way to build rapport, get to know each other, and foster a sense of togetherness between the Polri and the community,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’.

The flag-off, marking the start of the race, was carried out by Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper, accompanied by Wakapolda, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, and 27 Senior Officials (PJU) from the Polda Metro Jaya at precisely 10:00 PM WIB. The crowd erupted in cheers as the runners sped through the night.

Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, accompanied by Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, opened the 2026 Operation Ketupat Jaya Night Run.

Regarding the high level of enthusiasm, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ added, that given the high level of enthusiasm, he hopes this night run event will become a regular event held every two months.

“We want the community to take home a positive spirit. Let’s continue to promote healthy activities that provide positive energy for the surrounding environment,” he said.

The fun-filled race concluded at 23:40 PM WIB. The event concluded with prize giving and a group photo. Wow, it was truly enjoyable, and the message conveyed was fully received. Salute, Jenderal.
