progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) considers the acid attack on the Deputy Coordinator of KontraS, Andrie Yunus, a form of resistance or opposition to the commitment of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration to maximize the protection, enforcement, and fulfillment of Human Rights (HAM), as stated in the Asta Cita.

Therefore, Commission III of the DPR RI firmly requests the Polri to swiftly and thoroughly investigate this case in a professional and transparent manner. The perpetrators, including those who planned, ordered, and carried out the attack, must be immediately apprehended and punished according to applicable laws and regulations.

This was the conclusion of the DPR RI Commission III meeting regarding this case during the fourth session of the 2025-2026 session year, Monday, March 16, 2026, and signed by the Chairman of Commission III, Habiburokhman.

In addition to ordering the Polri to act swiftly to thoroughly investigate this case, Commission III of the DPR RI also ordered the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) to provide special protection to the victim and his family, the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims (Kontras), and other relevant parties to prevent further violence.

Meanwhile, Commission III of the DPR RI requested that the Indonesian Ministry of Health cover all costs for the best possible medical treatment and recovery for victim Andrie Yunus.

Commission III of the DPR RI also decided to continue monitoring the investigation into this case to ensure the law is fully upheld. Furthermore, Commission III of the DPR RI has also been tasked with ensuring that the victim, Andrie Yunus, quickly obtains the truth and justice for the acid attack. (Bembo)
