Wakapolri, Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetro, with the Commander of the Korbrimob, Komjen Pol Ramdani Hidayat, and Deputy Commander of the Korbrimob, Irjen Pol Reza Arief Dewanto.
progresifjaya.co.id, DEPOK – The Wakapolri, Komjen Pol Prof. Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, encouraged the Mobile Brigade Corps (Korbrimob) of the Polri to continue improving its capabilities, professionalism, and modernization to prepare it for increasingly complex new challenges.
Wakapolri Dedi conveyed this support while delivering direction at the 2026 Korbrimob Polri Working Meeting (Rakernis) held at the Satya Haprabu Building, Mako Brimob Polri, Kelapa Dua, Depok, on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Also present were the Commander of the Mobile Brigade Corps (Korbrimob), Komjen Pol Ramdani Hidayat, the Deputy Commander of the Mobile Brigade Corps (Korbrimob), Irjen Pol Reza Arief Dewanto, and all senior Korbrimob and Brimob Unit Commanders throughout Indonesia.
In his remarks, the Wakapolri also expressed his highest appreciation for the dedication and professionalism of the Korbrimob throughout 2025. He noted various impressive achievements, including the successful implementation of Operation Peace Carstensz, achievements at the international World Police & Fire Games, and the Kompolnas Award as the best National Police Headquarters Work Unit. These achievements demonstrate that Brimob has proven its capacity to strengthen and compete globally.
He stated, that future challenges will become increasingly complex, including the emergence of hybrid security threats that combine physical disruption, digital provocation, and disinformation. Therefore, enhancing personnel capabilities, coupled with strengthening adaptive systems and strategies, will be key to addressing these dynamics.
In the context of public service, the Wakapolri also emphasized the importance of a paradigm shift based on the principle of “Serving, Not Confronting.” He hoped, Brimob would be present as protectors and guardians to ensure security while providing a sense of security that can reassure the public.

Furthermore, the Wakapolri also encouraged the strengthening of research-based task implementation. This is achieved by leveraging the academic ecosystem through the establishment of a Police Study Center to enhance analytical capabilities against asymmetric security threats.
Similarly, accelerating the adoption of modern technology is also a key focus, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI), drone surveillance, and body-worn cameras, to increase transparency and accountability, and minimize procedural errors in the execution of duties in the field.
The Wakapolri also emphasized the importance of preparedness for potential disasters, particularly prolonged droughts that have the potential to increase hotspots for forest and land fires. Therefore, SAR defense equipment and personnel must always be operationally ready to provide a swift and appropriate response to protect the public.
As a direction for future development, the Wakapolri then outlined the Korbrimob Transformation Roadmap, which is divided into three main phases. The first phase is foundation building, followed by capability development, and finally, achieving world-class excellence in both the physical and cyber domains.
Concluding his remarks, the Wakapolri also emphasized, that increasing troop numbers will not have optimal impact without adequate support. The intended support includes a strong system, appropriate strategies, and professional, superior, and humane personnel.
“The Polri is committed to continuously strengthening the Korbrimob as a modern, adaptive, and trustworthy unit. We are also always present to provide protection, service, and a sense of security for the people throughout Indonesia,” said Wakapolri Dedi concluding his remarks.
