The Polres Metro of West Jakarta Narcotics Unit Seizes 1.013 Ecstasy Pills and 1,27 Grams of Sabu from Kalideres, 2 Perpetrators Captured 3 DPOs

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polres Metro of West Jakarta Narcotics Unit seized 1.013 ecstasy pills weighing 343 grams and three packages of methamphetamine (sabu) weighing 1,27 grams from a boarding house in the Pegadungan area of Kalideres on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. Along with the evidence, two suspects, identified as AAO (56) and TP (42), were also seized.

This arrest stemmed from a report from the public who were concerned about suspicious activity. Based on this report, the Polres Metro of West Jakarta Narcotics Unit’s Special Team 2, led by AKP Jimi Farid Ma’aruf, launched an investigation. The results were positive. It was confirmed that drug trafficking was taking place at the reported location.

In addition to the ecstasy pills and methamphetamine, evidence of a bong or smoking device, several cell phones, and notebooks suspected of being related to drug transactions was also found.

The Deputy Head of the Polres Metro of West Jakarta Narcotics Unit, AKP Avrilendy explained, that the two perpetrators, AAO and TP, were not just users but also played a role in a drug trafficking network.

“The drugs were obtained from a network outside the area and were planned to be redistributed in Jakarta,” said AKP Avrilendy when contacted by the media on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

From the investigation, the thousands of ecstasy pills were found to have come from a supplier currently on the wanted list in Palembang. The sabu was obtained from West Jakarta. The perpetrators’ modus operandi was to store the drugs in their boarding room and then sell them in installments to buyers.

To be held accountable for their actions, the two perpetrators were charged under Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of the same Law. They also face other criminal provisions as stipulated in applicable laws and regulations. Investigators are also pursuing three other individuals who are already on the wanted list.
