progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) conducted a simultaneous handheld-based operation to detect violations (dakgar) at various strategic locations in Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
This operation successfully recorded 172 violations for prosecution. Of these, 87 violations were validated, and 48 were officially sent to the system for further action.
This operation involved elements from the Traffic Directorate’s Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate for Traffic Management (PMJ), the Road Traffic Unit (Sat PJR), the Law Enforcement Unit (Gatur), the Patrol Unit (Sat Patwal), and other traffic units. Direct control of the operation was assumed by Ipda Fauzi Tirta Kusuma.
This operation also implements the attention and direction of the Head of the Traffic Corps of the Polri, Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho, and the Director of Law Enforcement, Brigjen Pol Faizal, to strengthen the Polri’s digital transformation, particularly in the area of traffic law enforcement. This technology-based approach is considered to improve the accuracy of enforcement, minimize the potential for administrative errors, and promote transparency and accountability in every ticketing process.
In its implementation, officers not only take action against violators but also provide humane reminders to the public to always comply with traffic regulations for the safety of all. This is an important part of preventive and educational efforts that work in harmony with law enforcement.
The Director of Traffic for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Komarudin stated in a statement, that this activity is a concrete step to improve traffic discipline within the Polda Metro Jaya jurisdiction. It also supports the Polri Traffic Corps’ policy of realizing a modern and safe traffic system.
“The use of handheld devices is concrete evidence of the Polri’s digital transformation to provide more modern, transparent, and accountable law enforcement,” said Kombes Pol Komarudin on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
He also said, that this step also serves as a reminder to the public to be more disciplined in traffic. The presence of this technology is also expected to reduce the number of violations and improve road safety during busy weekends.
The Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate will also continue to advance in realizing orderly, safe, and secure traffic with a precise approach supported by technology.
