Final tributes at the release of the body of Bripka (posthumously) Arya Supena.

progresifjaya.co.id, LAMPUNG – The Polda of Lampung  are in mourning. One of its best personnel, Bripka (posthumously) Arya Supena, a member of the Polda of Lampung Intelligence Directorate, has died in the line of duty.

Kapolda of Lampung, Irjen Pol Helfi Assegaf, along with Wakapolda, Brigjen Pol Drs. Sumarto, and several senior Polda of Lampung officials were present to pay their final respects during the funeral service on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

The death of Bripka (posthumously) Arya Supena occurred on Saturday morning, May 9, 2026, at approximately 5:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time in front of the Yuzi Akmal Shop on Jalan ZA. Pagaralam, Labuhan Ratu.

The deceased, who was on duty and passing Yussy Akmal’s bakery on a motorcycle, encountered two suspicious men attempting to break the handlebar lock on a motorcycle belonging to a resident named NM.

While attempting to reprimand and stop the perpetrator, one of the perpetrators fired a shot at close range. Doorr! The bullet struck the deceased’s head.

The deceased was rushed to the Bhayangkara Hospital, Polda of Lampung, for emergency medical treatment. However, he was pronounced dead from the critical gunshot wound.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda of Lampung, Kombes Pol Yuni Iswandari Yuyun stated in a statement, that
as a token of respect for the deceased’s service and courage, the Polribawarded him an extraordinary promotion to Bripka (posthumously).

“The body was released from the funeral home with a Polri funeral procession attended by family, relatives, and colleagues from the Polda of Lampung. The funeral ceremony was conducted in a formal manner, with the Director of Intelligence and Security of the Polda of Lampung officiating,” said Kombes Pol Yuni Iswandari on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Weeping broke out as a salvo of gunfire was fired into the air as the highest honor for a true Bhayangkara who died maintaining public security.

“The Polda of Lampung have lost one of their greatest sons. The deceased was an example for us all. He didn’t hesitate to risk his life to carry out his duties and protect the rights of the community. We assure you that the joint team will apprehend the perpetrators,” stated Kombes Pol Yuni.

“The Polda of Lampung are currently conducting an intensive pursuit of the two perpetrators. They are gathering evidence at the crime scene and questioning several witnesses,” she added.
