The Polda Metro Ranmor Sub-Directorate Detains 1 Suspect After Opening a Warehouse Holding 1.494 Illegal Motorcycles

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya’s Motor Vehicle (Ranmor) Sub-Directorate (Ditreskrimum) has opened a warehouse holding stolen motorcycles on Jalan Kemandoran VIII, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. One suspect, identified as WS, the director of the warehouse, was arrested.
The Director of the General Crimes Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Iman Imannudin explained in his statement, that the role of the arrested suspect, WS, has been determined. He includes his role as a buyer, receiver, collector, and exporter.
Kombes Pol Iman continued, explaining that WS was assisted by 18 other people, two of whom served as administrators and 16 others assisted with operational processes. Investigators are still gathering their statements.
“We will continue to develop law enforcement against this crime across the network, from the motorcycle suppliers to the collectors to the exporters. We will continue to investigate this network because it is a collaborative network,” said Kombes Pol Iman on Monday, May 11, 2026.
He also explained, that investigators had seized 1.494 illegal motorcycles from the warehouse. Some of the vehicles at the location had been dismantled to facilitate shipping to the island nation of Tahiti and Togo in Africa.
“As previously reported, 957 vehicles are intact and 537 motorcycles have been dismantled,” he said.
