A Polish citizen, Skorski Andrzej Piotr, was the victim of a robbery involving his Samsung S21 FE.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Less than 24 hours after the incident, the Polsek Metro of Menteng Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim), Polres Metro of Central Jakarta, successfully apprehended two suspects who stole a Samsung S21 FE phone from a Polish citizen, Skorski Andrzej Piotr.

Kapolsek Metro of Menteng, AKBP Braiel Arnold Rondonuwu explained in a statement, that
the snatching incident occurred on Friday evening, May 8, 2026, in front of the Bank Mandiri Syariah building on Jalan Agus Salim, Menteng. The successful investigation into this case began when a suspect identified as D (42) was apprehended by residents at the red light intersection on Jalan Imam Bonjol after the robbery. Shortly afterward, the Polsek Metro of Menteng Buser Team immediately launched a search operation.

“Thanks to swift coordination in the field, the team successfully pursued the second suspect, identified as F, who had fled. Suspect F was apprehended at a rented house in the Johar Baru area on Saturday night, along with evidence: a Samsung S21 FE cellphone belonging to the victim, which had been taken by force,” explained Kapolsek Metro of Menteng, AKBP Braiel Arnold Rondonuwu, in an official statement.

Following this successful investigation, Andrzej Piotr personally visited Polsek Metro of Menteng Headquarters to receive his belongings. Furthermore, the victim will soon be returning to his home country and desperately needs the device to support international communications. The victim also requested that the case be resolved amicably and not pursued criminally.

He also expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication of the police personnel who worked professionally and transparently.

“My name is Andrzej Skorski from Poland. My cell phone was stolen, and i contacted the Polsek Metro of Menteng. Within 24 hours, i received information that my phone had been found. I am very grateful to the Polsek Metro of Menteng for their professionalism in assisting me,” Andrzej said in his testimony, which was made at the Polsek Metro of Menteng Headquarters.

In response to Andrzej’s request, the police stated, that they would process the request in accordance with applicable legal mechanisms, while prioritizing the protection of the victim’s rights.

The successful recovery of this evidence also demonstrates the Polri’s commitment to providing excellent service and ensuring the safety of every citizen, including foreign tourists visiting the Polda Metro Jaya jurisdiction.

The Polda Metro Jaya also urge the public to remain vigilant when engaging in activities in public spaces, especially at night. They are advised to avoid the conspicuous use of electronic devices on the roadside, as this could attract criminals.
