Anticipating Street Crime, Brawls, and Drug Trafficking, Polres Metro of West Jakarta Step Up Large-Scale Operations

Kapolres Metro of West Jakarta, Kombes Pol Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi, led a large-scale operation to prevent street crime, brawls, and drug trafficking in several vulnerable areas in West Jakarta.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polres Metro of West Jakarta stepped up large-scale patrols to anticipate street crime, brawls, and drug trafficking in several vulnerable areas in West Jakarta early Monday morning, May 25, 2026.
The patrols were led by the Kapolres Metro of West Jakarta, Kombes Pol Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi, and involved a joint force of personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Polri, and the Satpol PP. The patrols began at around 1:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), targeting several areas deemed prone to crime and public order disturbances.
During the raid on Jalan Pangeran Tubagus Angke, Tambora, West Jakarta, several motorcyclists traveling towards Kota Tua were spotted and subsequently questioned.
Four individuals were apprehended for possession of Schedule G drugs, including Tramadol and methamphetamine or sabu.
“On this occasion, the raid resulted in the arrest of four individuals caught carrying Schedule G drugs, including one carrying methamphetamine,” said Kapolres Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi at the location.
The four individuals were immediately transported to the Polsek of Tambora for further questioning. Investigators are still investigating the origin of the prohibited items, including their acquisition routes and alleged planned use.
According to Kapolres Twedi, patrols and raids are carried out simultaneously by all police stations in different locations each day, always adapting to areas prone to security disturbances.
“All police stations carry out similar activities. The locations are moved according to areas prone to street crime, brawls, and drug trafficking,” he explained.
Kapolres Twedi also stated, that patrols and police operations will continue until the morning to anticipate times when public order disturbances and crime are most likely to occur.
This is also a tactical, preventative measure to create a sense of security and comfort for the community.
