progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The  Polda Metro Jaya Cyber ​​Investigation Directorate (Ditressiber) has successfully intercepted a case of distribution of pornographic content via live streaming on a social media account. The host of the pornographic live stream, identified as SR (39), was arrested along with evidence in the form of the cellphone he used for the live stream.

Head of Unit 1, Sub-Directorate 2, Polda Metro Jaya Ditressiber, Kompol Imanuel Sinaga explained in his statement, that the interception of this case was first detected by cyber patrols who discovered an account containing pornographic content.

“The account, with the initials K, has 387.000 followers, as we know. They use Gmail accounts, which can be logged in via social media, and receive gift payments,” explained Commissioner Imanuel during a press conference at the Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

He explained, that during the live stream, the suspect invited other users to join as talent. The suspect then asked viewers for gifts and tapped the screen.

“Then, the losers, usually the talent, would receive some kind of punishment challenge. For example, a star jump. So, during the live stream, the jumping, jumping, jumping, and negative scenes occurred,” said Kompol Imanuel.

“Initially, the talent wasn’t naked, but there was a challenge between the host and the talent. If the talent lost, they had to jump until their clothes came off,” he added.

Kompol Imanuel also stated, that suspect SR used underage female talent who joined without his knowledge. He mentioned two to three people as talent.

Suspect SR admitted to investigators that he had been conducting this live streaming for the past three years. He profited by cashing out gifts given through a digital wallet account.

“Usually, in these live streaming activities, the talent and host always use effects. Effects are used in live streaming. So it’s quite difficult to identify the specific person, whether from facial recording data or other means,” said Kompol Imanuel.

Investigators charged suspect SR under Article 407 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code, concerning the production, broadcasting, distribution, or provision of pornography. The potential penalty is a minimum of six months and a maximum of ten years in prison.
