The Polres of Banjar Traffic Unit is Not Immune to Criticism and Continues to Strengthen its High-Quality Precise Public Services

Satpas and Samsat Services of the Polres of Banjar Traffic Unit is committed to providing fast, transparent, and humane public services.

progresifjaya.co.id, BANJAR – Public service office The Driver’s License Administration Unit (Satpas) and the One-Stop Integrated Administration System (Samsat) of the Polres of Banjar  Traffic Unit, Polda of West Java, continue to strengthen their commitment to providing fast, transparent, and humane public services.

The flagship program “Politantas Menyapa” continues to be promoted and implemented in public service processes. Service officers are also very active in reaching out to the community to provide education, guidance, and safeguard against the potential for disruptive ticket scalping practices.

“The performance principles of the Presisi Traffic Police, which serve the public with a humanistic, professional, and accountable approach, are our guiding principle. It’s our duty to provide the best service to the public. This is Banjar Patroman, bro,” said the Head of the Polres of Banjar Traffic Unit, AKP Priyo Sumbodo, with a smile on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

He explained, that the “Polantas Menyapa” program, initiated nationally by the Polri Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), aims to improve public services, provide road safety education, and foster a more humane, inclusive, and friendly approach between traffic police and the public.

The main focus of this program, AKP Priyo continued, is providing direct counseling, coaching, and education on road safety.
This concept also refers to the highest standards of service provided to meet or exceed public expectations, both for driver’s license applicants and taxpayers.

Professionally, AKP Priyo explained, the excellent service of “Polantas Menyapa” is built on five main indicators or five service quality dimensions.

The first indicator is reliability. This indicator refers to the skills officers must possess to provide accurate and reliable service.

Next is responsiveness. Officers at both the Satpas and Samsat must be ready to assist the public and respond quickly to complaints.

Next is assurance. This indicator is about the officer’s knowledge, politeness, and ability to build trust.

Then comes empathy. Public service officers at the Satpas and Samsat must demonstrate genuine care and attention to each individual.

Finally, there are tangible indicators (physical evidence). The neat and professional appearance of facilities, equipment, and officer communication, as the main support for their duties, must also be clearly visible.

“Although we are considered a small police station within the Polda of West Java, that is no reason for us to downplay our public service output. The Polres of Banjar Traffic Unit can be described as dynamite comes in small packages. Small but with extraordinary power and impact in precise service. That’s who we are,” emphasized AKP Priyo.

The Head of Registration and Identification Unit (Kanit Regident)
Polres of Banjar Traffic Unit, Ipda Whendy Capri Rosshario also explained.  He stated that the “Polantas Menyapa” program has three main objectives.

The first primary target is the transportation and worker community. This target includes online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers, taxi drivers, and truck drivers to become pioneers of traffic safety.

Next is early childhood education, including students. This target includes children and schools (such as through the “Cilik Police” program) to instill an understanding of traffic rules from an early age.

The final primary target is the general public. Officers are directly present on the streets and in public spaces to provide clean and extortion-free services based on the 5S principle (smile, greet, say hello, be polite, and be courteous).

“Our presence in serving the public is always guided by the instruction of the Kapolri, Mr. Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to transform ourselves into a Precision Traffic Police,” said Ipda Whendy.

He continued, this transformation process is carried out by building four pillars as its foundation.

The first pillar is a solid institution as an organization.  Then, a more inclusive and easily accepted pillar for the operational aspect.

Furthermore, we must always prioritize a humanistic and restorative justice approach as a form of public service. And finally, and most importantly, we must develop professional field personnel and mentors as a form of oversight.

“We strive to serve the public optimally and with excellence, of course, with supervision as a form of self-evaluation,” said Ipda Whendy.

“If there are any shortcomings, we can immediately correct them. We are open to criticism, as long as it is constructive. This includes constructive criticism from journalists, our strategic partners. But if such criticism disrupts our work, that’s a different story. We will eradicate such disruptions,” he added.
