Supporting Food Security, the Majalengka Polres Traffic Unit Conducts Corn Monitoring and Planting Operations

The monitoring and corn planting activities by the Majalengka Polres Traffic Unit demonstrate concrete support for the National Food Security Program.

progresifjaya.co.id, MAJALENGKA – The Majalengka Polres Traffic Unit (Satlantas) conducted a Corn Monitoring and Planting Operation to support the National Food Security Program and the utilization of productive land. This operation was carried out comprehensively, including inspections, maintenance, and harvesting of corn planting areas in various areas of Majalengka.

These inspections and maintenance operations are routinely conducted at various locations, such as Babakan Jawa and Tarikolot Villages. Members of the Majalengka Polres Traffic Unit not only monitor but also directly participate in land preparation, watering, and harvesting, in collaboration with local farmer groups.

The strategic objective of this operation is to ensure a secure food supply. It also supports the self-sufficiency program and optimizes land use for greater productivity.

On Monday, June 22, 2026, members of the Majalengka Polres Traffic Unit  planted corn in Babakan Jawa Village, Majalengka Regency.

This activity demonstrated the Polri’s commitment to the agricultural sector and demonstrated concrete support for the government’s efforts to increase food production. The corn planting was carried out collaboratively with elements of the village government, farmer groups, and the local community.

In a statement, the Head of the Majalengka Polres Traffic Unit’s Identification and Registration Unit, Iptu Suarji stated, that the involvement of Traffic Unit members in this activity demonstrates the synergy between the Polri and the community to support the food security program, a national development priority.

“Through this corn monitoring and planting activity, we want to contribute directly to supporting food self-sufficiency and increasing agricultural productivity. In addition to fulfilling our primary duties as protectors, guardians, and servants of the community, we are also present to support community welfare through various social and community activities,” he explained.
