progresifjaya.co.id, DEPOK – The Kapolres Metro of Depok, Kombes Pol Abdul Waras, and the Depok City Military District Commander (Dandim), Kolonel Inf Ginanjar Wahyutomo, held the Jaga Depok On the Spot activity and distributed 50 food packages to pedicab drivers and porters at the Pondok Sukmajaya Permai base in Depok on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

This activity reflects the presence of the Polri in the community, especially daily workers who work in the surrounding area every day.

“Through this Jaga Depok On the Spot, we want to be more present with the community. We directly met the pedicab drivers and porters, listened to their input, and shared through the distribution of food packages,” said Kapolres Abdul Waras.

During this activity, the Polres Metro of Depok along with members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), also engaged in interactive dialogue with residents regarding the security and order situation in the area. Residents were also encouraged to actively maintain public order and security and immediately report any potential security disturbances.

Kapolres Abdul Abdul Waras stated, that this activity was part of an effort to strengthen the synergy between the TNI and the Polri with the community to keep Depok City safe and conducive.

“We invite the entire community to work together to protect the environment. Security is not solely the responsibility of the authorities; it requires the concern and active participation of citizens,” he said.

In addition to the dialogue, the Polres Metro of Depok also distributed 50 basic food packages to pedicab drivers and porters. This assistance is expected to benefit the recipients.

“Hopefully, this assistance can ease the residents’ needs. In commemoration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Polri remains committed to being present, serving, and providing benefits to the community,” said Kapolres Abdul Waras.

Through the Jaga Depok On The Spot activity, the Polres Metro of Depok also hopes to strengthen communication with the community. All input and needs from residents can be conveyed, accommodated, and followed up effectively.
