The Boston Celtics will open the preseason on October 8 against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Arena in Cleveland before returning to Boston for two games.

Next, Boston will host Jaylen Brown’s new team, the Philadelphia 76ers, on October 10 and the Charlotte Hornets on October 14. The Boston Celtics agreed to a major trade, sending Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Paul George, two first-round draft picks, and two second-round draft picks.
