progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Chief Cadet Brigadier (Brigkatar), Harindra Arsandho Tegarbaja was selected as the recipient of the Adhi Makayasa award for the best graduate of the Ksatriya Hawin Sarwahita Battalion of the Police Academy (Akpol) in 2026.

The announcement of the Adhi Makayasa award for Brigkatar Harindra Arsandho Tegarbaja was made by the Wakapolri, Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo, while leading the Closing Ceremony of the 58th Class of Akpol Cadets at the Akpol Complex in Semarang, Central Java, on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Harindra Arsandho Tegarbaja is a 2023 Taruna Nusantara High School alumnus (TN 31).  He graduated with the highest cumulative grades in all aspects (academic, character, and physical).

His success as the top graduate of the 58th Akpol Class not only made his parents proud, but also brought pride to the Taruna Nusantara High School family and his region in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Tegarbaja’s achievement also adds to the long list of Taruna Nusantara High School alumni who have received the Adhi Makayasa from Akpol. He follows in the footsteps of his seniors, Muhammad Malik Aditya Kurniawan and Fathan Putra Rifito in 2025 and 2024, respectively. In total, there are now 15 Taruna Nusantara High School alumni who have received the Adhi Makayasa from Akpol.

Harindra Arsandho Tegarbaja is a native of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. He is the eldest of three children of Suhartono Tumiran and Baiq Indira Rahmi, residents of Gerung, West Lombok.

This graduate of Mataram 2 Middle School is also a taekwondo athlete.  He expressed pride and gratitude for this achievement after approximately three years of education at the Police Academy. He stated that this period of education provided him with a wealth of experience, knowledge, and character development, which will equip him for service as a Polri officer.

“I am very proud to have completed my education at the Police Academy. I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge that will prepare me for my future as a Polri officer. This award is both a source of pride and a mandate for which i must be accountable,” said Harindra, as quoted from an Instagram video uploaded by @humasakpol on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Turning Point

Brigadier Chief Cadet (Brigkatar), Harindra Arsandho Tegarbaja was selected as the recipient of the Adhi Makayasa award, the best graduate of the Ksatriya Hawin Sarwahita Battalion of the Police Academy (Akpol) in 2026.

Before studying at the Police Academy, Harindra studied at SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang. During his time there, he participated in various development programs to strengthen his academic skills, leadership skills, and discipline.

 “I was there (at Taruna Nusantara High School) to pursue several programs offered by the Special Panda (the selection committee for prospective Indonesian National Armed Forces soldiers). I’d heard that Taruna Nusantara High School produces many outstanding individuals. So, by enrolling there, i felt it was my chance to become a TNI officer,” Harindra said.

Initially, Harindra was more interested in becoming a TNI officer through the Military Academy (Akmil). He participated in the selection process but ultimately failed.

“Then, because it was still the same year, January 2023, and registration for Akpol was still open that year, i immediately considered trying another branch, the Police Academy. Coincidentally, during the regional selection, i ranked first in the Polda of NTB deployment before being sent to the central level,” he explained.

This was indeed a turning point in his career. In the regional selection, Harindra achieved first place in the Polda of NTB, qualifying him to participate in the central level selection at the Police Academy in Semarang.

He emphasized, that his success was due to the prayers, support, and sacrifices of his family, especially his parents, who instilled in him a disciplined and never-give-up attitude from a young age.

“I am deeply grateful to those closest to me, especially my own family: my parents, father, mother, siblings, and my comrades-in-arms during my education at the Police Academy,” he admitted.

He also revealed, that his father, a martial arts instructor, was the one who trained him from childhood. This knowledge later became crucial for him to undergo police training, which demands discipline, physical endurance, and mental fortitude.

“I feel proud to have been born into this family. I am grateful to my father and mother for educating me and supporting me all this time, enabling me to become the great person i am today. Thank you very much, father and mother. Thank you very much for all the hard work you have given me. Perhaps this is all i can give you,” he further explained.

Parents’ Gratitude

His father, Suhartono, expressed his gratitude for his son’s achievements. Suhartono explained that Harindra’s character development began in elementary school. Along with his younger brother, who is also currently studying at the Police Academy, Harindra was accustomed to regular physical training and mental development.

“We have been training our children since the first grade. We have been guiding them to become taekwondo athletes. This is not only for athletic achievement, but also to develop character, discipline, and mental fortitude,” Suhartono said.

Every day, he continued, his two children are also accustomed to performing the morning prayer in congregation at the mosque before undergoing physical training.

“We want to instill moral education from an early age. After the morning prayer, they train before going to school. From this habit, discipline and responsibility develop,” he explained.

Suhartono hopes, that Harindra’s achievement will be the beginning of his service as a member of the Polri who upholds honesty and integrity.

“This is clearly a good start, especially for the future. So we must remain honest, stay enthusiastic. We must also maintain our integrity. This is especially important for our five daily prayers,” said Suhartono.
