The Polda Metro Jaya Resmob Sub-Directorate Arrests Murderer of Woman in Grogol Petamburan Boarding House

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A joint team from Detective Mobile (Resmob) Sub-Directorate 3 of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of the Polda Metro Jaya arrested a man with the initials E in connection with the murder of a woman with the initials M (52) in a boarding house in Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta. The murderer was arrested in the Cilandak area of South Jakarta, several hours after the incident was reported on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
The Head of the Polda Metro Jaya Resmob Sub-Directorate, AKBP Resa said in an official statement, that the case was resolved as a result of rapid follow-up to public reports. Through the investigation, the team successfully identified the murderer and located his whereabouts.
“E was arrested at around 11:30 PM WIB in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta. He was then taken to Subdit 3 Tahbang/Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya for further legal proceedings,” said AKBP Resa.
Based on preliminary investigations, the incident is suspected to have begun when M went to the killer’s boarding room. The two then engaged in a dispute that escalated into violence involving a hammer, resulting in M’s death.
During this investigation, investigators also secured several pieces of evidence, including a hammer, two cell phones, a bag, a wallet, jewelry, clothing, a hat, gloves, and a motorcycle. All of this evidence has been secured for investigation purposes.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto added. That every case involving the loss of life is always a serious matter for the police.
“This case will be handled professionally, objectively, and thoroughly. The entire process is based on the facts and evidence obtained by investigators to ensure legal certainty,” stated Kombes Pol Bhudi.
