Police search Kali Licin in Cipayung to find the leg pieces of the mutilated victim, Kunaefi.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Investigators Subdit Resmob Ditreskrimum Metro Jaya Police together with Depok Metro Police are still trying hard to find the legs of the mutilation victim, Kunaefi (51). Kali Licin, Cipayung, Depok, became a location that continues to be searched although until now still has not yielded results.

Director of General Criminal Investigation Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin in his explanation said, the flow of the river became an obstacle to the search. It is believed that the piece of leg thrown by the suspect, Saepul (26), has been washed away.

“The point of certainty the perpetrator dumped it where it was originally. There was a flow of water as well which could have been enough to carry the piece away in the current, so we had to trace the flow of the river,” he said

“Then, related to the duration, of course from the K-9 team, then from the team we also have to arrange so that we can still survive until we find the remaining piece that has not been found,” he continued.

The sack containing the body of Kunaefi has been found in the vacant land since July 24, 2026. However, none of the residents suspected that the sack contained human remains. Until later on Tuesday, August 4, residents took the initiative to burn sacks that they thought contained garbage.

From the results of identification and processing of the crime scene, following the testimony of witnesses and other evidence, the police investigation finally led to the man named Saepul (26). Saepul who had participated in this talent search event was finally arrested by the Subdit Resmob Team Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya while fleeing in Pandeglang Banten on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
