Polres of Indramayu Satpas Champions Excellent, Transparent Service to Ensure Public Satisfaction

Officers at the Polres of Indramayu Traffic Unit’s Satpas provide service that is both personable and transparent to driver’s license applicants.

progresifjaya.co.id, INDRAMAYU – The Driver Licensing Administration Unit (Satpas) of the Polres of Indramayu Traffic Unit continues to champion excellent service and transparency to ensure public satisfaction and minimize complaints.

Providing excellent service during the driver’s license (SIM) issuance process is a mandatory requirement for all personnel, whether stationed at the Satpas facility or operating the mobile Simling service.

Ipda Indra Wijaya, Head of the Registration and Identification Unit (Kanit Regident) at the Polres of Indramayu Traffic Unit explained, that public satisfaction serves as the benchmark for his unit’s service success.

“We certainly aren’t perfect yet, but we always strive to do our best for the applicants,” Ipda Indra stated diplomatically on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

He noted, that officers are trained to provide a human-centric service approach to applicants while maintaining a calm atmosphere within the service area.

“It is mandatory to ensure the comfort of applicants during simulator tests to reduce complaints regarding that stage of the process,” he said.

Meanwhile, during the Class C (motorcycle) practical test, officers are instructed to guide applicants in a manner that keeps them relaxed, even in hot weather conditions.

“Hot weather can make applicants feel tense, which might disrupt their concentration during the motorcycle practical test. However, by fostering a relaxed atmosphere, we enable applicants to concentrate fully and successfully pass the test,” he explained.

Ipda Indra Wijaya also strongly urged applicants—whether applying for a new license or a renewal—not to trust middlemen or scalpers (calo), whether encountered in person or via social media.

“Just come directly to the Polres of Indramayu Satpas or the mobile Simling service. Ask our officers directly so you receive proper guidance on the correct licensing procedures. Do not ask middlemen, everything they say is bullshit,” he emphasized.

He also stated, that the staff at the Polres of Indramayu Traffic Unit’s Satpas always operate transparently, including regarding SIM fees, which are regulated by Government Regulation Number 76 of 2020 concerning Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable to the Polri.

“To date, there have been no changes, and Government Regulation Number 76 of 2020 already stipulates the fees for issuing new driver’s licenses and for renewals,” he emphasized. (Bembo)
