progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Brazilian defensive midfielder Jean Mangabeira has arrived as the sixth new signing to bolster Dewa United FC for the 2026/2027 Indonesia Super League season.
Previously, the 28-year-old played for Figueirense in Brazil, making 26 appearances across all competitions. Statistically, during his time with Figueirense, Jean Mangabeira completed 250 out of 287 attempted passes, achieving an 87,11% success rate.
Over 1.021 minutes of play, he also recorded a 75% success rate in aerial duels and a 75% success rate in ground-based man-to-man marking duels. His dribbling success rate was a perfect 100%.
Jean Mangabeira’s arrival is expected to strengthen the Banten Warriors’ midfield, particularly in maintaining the balance between defense and attack.
When asked, Jean Mangabeira stated that one of the main reasons for accepting Dewa United’s offer was the club’s ambition to compete for the championship title.
“The opportunity to gain international football experience for the third time and join a team with strong organization and the ambition to become champions were the main reasons I chose Dewa United,” said Mangabeira, as quoted in an official statement on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
He believes Dewa United’s targets align with his personal ambition to win trophies; therefore, he aims to make a maximum contribution throughout the season.

Jean Mangabeira will wear the number 5 jersey for Dewa United FC. He is also highly optimistic that his defensive abilities will bring balance to the team’s gameplay. “I believe my abilities can help strengthen the midfield and provide defensive solidity. This way, we can strike a balance between attack and defense, making the team harder to beat throughout the season,” he said.
As a defensive midfielder, Mangabeira is expected to be a key option for maintaining balance in Banten Warriors’ gameplay.
