progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA — The Polsek of Tambora have successfully solved a case involving the theft of two motorcycles in the Tanah Sereal area, Tambora District, West Jakarta. Two individuals suspected of involvement in the theft were arrested during the operation.

The theft was discovered on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at approximately 04:00 WIB, at Jalan Tanah Sereal VI-B No. 30, RT 005/RW 013, Tanah Sereal Urban Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta. The two reported stolen vehicles were a black Honda Beat (license plate G 5286 XW) and another black Honda Beat (license plate B 5605 BNX).

The investigation began after the operational team received information from the victim indicating that one of the suspected perpetrators was a former employee who had previously worked at the victim’s place of business.

Acting on this information, the team launched an investigation and began monitoring the suspect, identified as Aditya Pratama. On Friday, August 14, 2026, at approximately 14:00 WIB, the team received information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts in Central Jakarta.

The team subsequently conducted a search and located the suspect’s residence—a rented room—at Jalan Infeksi RT 010/RW 004 No. 4, Sumur Batu Urban Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

Aditya was subsequently arrested. During a search of the premises, the team found clothing believed to have been worn by the suspect during the theft.

Upon interrogation, Aditya confessed to the crime and stated that the theft was carried out with an accomplice, Mulyadi. The theft was executed by duplicating the key to the warehouse where both men had previously worked.

The team then expanded the investigation. Based on Aditya’s statement, it was discovered that Mulyadi was working on a motorized fishing vessel in the Muara Baru Port area, North Jakarta.  On Saturday, August 16, 2026, around 6:00 PM WIB, the team received information that the motor vessel Anugerah—where Mulyadi worked—was about to set sail for open waters. The team acted swiftly and successfully apprehended Mulyadi aboard the vessel.

A search of the premises uncovered clothing suspected to have been worn by Mulyadi during the theft. Mulyadi ultimately confessed to his involvement in the crime.

Interrogation of the two perpetrators revealed that the stolen motorcycles had already been sold in the Indramayu area of ​​West Java. A black-and-red Honda Beat was sold for Rp3 million, while a black Honda Beat fetched Rp4 million, bringing the total proceeds from the sales to Rp7 million.

Kapolsek of Tambora, AKP Wahyu Hidayat emphasized, that his department would continue to intensify efforts to solve crimes—particularly motor vehicle theft—while simultaneously providing the best possible service to the community.

“We urge the public to remain vigilant, ensure their vehicles are parked in secure locations, and use additional security locks. We also encourage the community to promptly report any suspicious activity to the police,” said AKP Wahyu Hidayat.

He further commended the hard work of the personnel who conducted the investigation and successfully apprehended both suspects, noting that the inquiry extended to the Central Jakarta and North Jakarta areas.

“This case resolution demonstrates the Polsek of Tambora commitment to ensuring public safety. We will follow up on every report from the community professionally and in accordance with applicable laws,” he asserted.

AKP Wahyu added, that the Polsek of Tambora also encourage the entire community to work together to maintain local security and order. Public vigilance and effective communication with the police are crucial in preventing criminal activity.

Meanwhile, the two perpetrators, Aditya and Mulyadi, are currently detained at the Polsek of Tambora, where they are being held pending further questioning and legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, the evidence secured in this case includes the vehicle registration certificate (STNK), the ignition key, CCTV footage, and the clothing allegedly worn by the perpetrators during the theft. (Bembo)
