progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA — A joint team responded to a fire and evacuated residents at Pavilion Apartment Tower 3, located on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur, Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Friday, September 4, 2026. A total of 25 residents were successfully evacuated safely.

The fire response operation involved firefighters working alongside personnel from the Polri, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the DKI Jakarta Health Agency, and medical staff from the Tanah Abang District Community Health Center (Puskesmas). The priority for personnel on-site was ensuring resident safety while conducting a sweep of the apartment complex.

Kapolres Metro of Central Jakarta, Kombes Pol Reynold E.P. Hutagalung, stated, that preliminary records indicate 25 people have been safely evacuated. Personnel are continuing to sweep the premises to ensure no residents remain inside the building.

“Resident safety is the priority. The joint team is continuing evacuation and sweep operations to ensure all residents can exit safely. Data collection is ongoing, and we will provide updates on the residents’ condition once verified,” said Kombes Pol Reynold.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, urged the public—particularly residents and their families at Pavilion Apartment—to remain calm and follow the instructions of officers on-site. The public is also asked not to approach the area currently under response operations to avoid hindering the evacuation process and the work of the personnel. (Bembo)
