progresifjaya.co.id,  JAKARTA – Gerindra Party Executive Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated, that the meeting among political party chairpersons to discuss the revision of the Election Law was limited to brainstorming or an exchange of ideas. He also noted that the discussions remain in the early stages.

“The meeting of political party chairpersons was merely a brainstorming session regarding preparations for the Election Law deliberations to be conducted by the factions in the House of Representatives (DPR),” said Sufmi Dasco at the DPR building in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

He added, that the brainstorming process is still in its initial phase. The exchange of ideas between political parties will continue as the deliberations on the Election Bill progress within the DPR.

“This brainstorming is still in the early stages and will continue to ensure that the deliberations by the DPR factions proceed smoothly,” said the politician, who also serves as a Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI.

He further added, that political parties are still awaiting the results of public participation gathered by Commission II of the DPR. Public input will be a crucial part of the Election Bill deliberation process.

“We, the parties, are also awaiting the results of public participation from Commission II of the DPR, which continues to seek public input during the pre-deliberation stage,” he said. (Bembo)
