progresifjaya.co.id, SERANG – Dewa United FC secured another three points in their Matchweek 3 fixture of the 2026/2027 BRI Super League. Playing at their home ground, Banten International Stadium, Dewa United FC overcame the challenge posed by visiting side PSS Sleman, winning 2-1 on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

At the start of the first half, Dewa United FC immediately sought to control the game. Meanwhile, PSS Sleman found an attacking opportunity through Melvyn Lorenzen, who managed to outmaneuver his opponent; however, his pass into the center of the penalty area was intercepted by Alta Ballah.

PSS Sleman then took their turn trying to establish possession. In the 4th minute, Matheus Fornazari, positioned inside the penalty area, attempted to play a short pass to Melvyn Lorenzen, but the ball was cut out by an opposing player.

The hosts, the Banten Warriors threatened the PSS goal in the 12th minute when Taisei Marukawa fired a shot from inside the penalty area, but goalkeeper Pedro Caracoci managed to secure the ball.

The Banten Warriors once again menaced the goal of the team nicknamed the Super Elang Jawa in the 14th minute, Ivar Jenner struck a shot from outside the box, capitalizing on a clearance by a PSS player, but the ball went wide to the left of the goal.

Dewa United FC’s dominance continued into the 32nd minute, though they appeared to struggle somewhat in capitalizing on several chances.

As the match entered first-half stoppage time, Dewa United FC remained dominant, yet the half concluded without any goals being scored.

At the start of the second half, PSS Sleman attempted to play more aggressively. However, Dewa United FC’s defense proved robust enough to thwart the visitors’ attacking build-up. Dewa United FC finally took the lead through a goal scored by Taisei Marukawa in the 49th minute. He capitalized on a counter-attacking cross from Denilson Junior to beat PSS Sleman goalkeeper Pedro Caracoci.

Just nine minutes later, Dewa United FC doubled their lead with a goal from Carlos Iury in the 58th minute. The goal originated from a long ball played from the back; the player wearing number 70 managed to outwit the PSS Sleman defense, and his shot proved too difficult for goalkeeper Pedro Caracoci to reach.

Banten Warriors created another golden opportunity, this time through Taisei Marukawa, who delivered a pass to Rafael Struick. Although Struick found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, he failed to score as Pedro Caracoci managed to parry the ball away.

PSS Sleman finally managed to narrow the deficit with a goal from Christophe Nduwarugira in the 72nd minute, capitalizing on a corner kick delivered by Moussa Bagayoko.

The Super Elang Jawa remained under pressure as the match entered stoppage time. However, the 2-1 scoreline in favor of Banten Warriors held firm until the final whistle.

With this result, PSS Sleman has recorded three consecutive losses in their opening three matches of the competition. They currently sit at the bottom of the standings in 16th place with zero points, while Dewa United FC has surged to the top of the table with 10 points from four matches.
