Inside the Al-Hasyar Mosque, police officers and residents sat together, there were no barriers of rank or position—only Islamic brotherhood and community bonding aimed at a safer Subang.
“We want the police presence to be truly felt by the residents, starting right here at the mosque during the dawn prayer,” said Kapolres of Subang, AKBP Andi Purwanto during the event.
This is the essence of Suling Amis—Subuh Nguriling Dinten Kemis an activity regularly organized by the Polres of Subang, such as the one held on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The program serves as a way for the Polres of Subang to build closer ties and listen directly to the community’s aspirations.
“Suling Amis provides a space to foster more open communication between the police and the public,” stated Kapolres Andi Purwanto.
The Suling Amis event series began with congregational dawn prayers alongside the residents of Kalijati. Following the prayer, the gathering continued with casual dialogue and social interaction to discuss the local security situation.
“After prayers, we engage in dialogue, listening to residents’ aspirations and feedback regarding public order and security in their neighborhoods,” the Kapolres said.
Through this humanistic approach, the Polres of Subang aim to emphasize that maintaining public order and security is not solely a police duty. Community participation is key to creating an environment that is safe, comfortable, and conducive to well-being.
“Public order and security are not just the police’s responsibility, they require the participation of the entire community,” he added.
The spirit of Suling Amis also aligns with the new Kapolri’s tagline, Polisi Bersama Masyarakat. The police presence is intended not merely for law enforcement but also to foster harmony within the community of Subang Regency.
