progresifjaya.co.id, INDRAMAYU – The Traffic Unit of the Polres Indramayu (Satlantas Polres Indramayu) has installed advisory banners at the approach to the weigh station in Santing Village, Losarang District. This initiative aims to foster Kamseltibcarlantas—an acronym for traffic safety, security, order, and smooth traffic flow—within the Polres Indramayu jurisdiction.

The banners warn against parking on the shoulders or main lanes of national roads. This advisory is grounded in Law No. 22 of 2009, Article 287, paragraph (3), which addresses violations regarding stopping and parking procedures. Offenders face a maximum penalty of one month in jail or a fine of up to Rp250.000.

The Polres Indramayu Traffic Unit strongly urges all motorists to refrain from parking on the shoulders or lanes of national roads, particularly in the vicinity of the Losarang Weigh Station (UPPKB). Furthermore, motorcyclists are reminded to strictly observe no parking signs to ensure smooth traffic flow and collective safety.

The installation of these banners is intended to reduce the number of traffic violations, accidents, and fatalities, while also fostering greater public discipline on the road to achieve a safe and orderly traffic environment.

The Polres Indramayu Traffic Unit and the Polsek Losarang actively collaborate with the Losarang Weigh Station (under the Ministry of Transportation) and other relevant agencies to manage traffic flow, coordinate operational security, and ensure a rapid response to any traffic congestion in the area.

The Losarang Weigh Station (UPPKB) is frequently utilized as an Integrated Command Post/Service Post by the Indramayu Transportation Agency (Dishub), the Polres Indramayu Traffic Unit, Jasa Raharja, and other relevant agencies during the Eid homecoming and return periods.

The Polres Indramayu Traffic Unit also regularly holds coordination and traffic management planning meetings at this location to ensure smooth traffic flow along the Pantura route in Indramayu.

Joint personnel and the Polsek Losarang are also quick to act on public reports—submitted via the Polri Call Center (110) or the “Lapor Pak Polisi” (Report to the Police) WhatsApp service—regarding potential traffic congestion often caused by trucks or various activities in the vicinity of the Losarang Weigh Station.

In short, they provide a rapid response to address issues. Excellent work. (Bembo)
