progresifjaya.co.id, CIREBON CITY – The Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026 will be conducted over 14 days, from October 26 to November 8, 2026. During this operation, the Traffic Unit of the Polres Cirebon City will prioritize preventive measures to enhance compliance among road users, while enforcement actions will be reserved for specific priority violations.

Kapolres Cirebon City, AKBP Bimantoro Kurniawan—through the Head of the Traffic Unit, AKP Hadi Suryanto—stated, that preventive efforts will include coaching clinics, traffic management, and the deployment of personnel in areas frequently used by motorists.

“Enforcement is not the primary focus of Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026. We continue to prioritize preventive activities, with legal enforcement serving as a subsequent measure for traffic violations,” said AKP Hadi on Friday, October 23, 2026.

The operation will focus on seven priority types of violations. These include failure to wear an SNI-standard (Indonesian National Standard) helmet, failure to use a seatbelt, the use of mobile phones while driving, and driving against the flow of traffic.

Officers will also take action against underage drivers or those operating vehicles without a valid driver’s license (SIM), as well as vehicles equipped with exhaust systems that do not meet technical specifications, and individuals driving under the influence of alcohol.

“Enforcement will rely primarily—60 percent—on the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system. Meanwhile, manual traffic tickets (citations) will account for 5 percent, and formal warnings will make up approximately 35 percent,” emphasized AKP Hadi. (Bembo)
