Polda Metro Jaya Conducts Another Tree-Planting Initiative, Encouraging Personnel to Bring a Sense of Comfort to the Community

The Polda Metro Jaya conducts another tree-planting initiative as part of the Green Policing program at the Polda Metro Jaya mini-soccer field.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya has once again carried out a tree-planting initiative as part of its ongoing “Green Policing” program. The event took place at the Polda Metro Jaya mini-soccer field on Friday, October 23, 2026. It was led by the Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Adex Yudiswan, representing the Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Dadang Hartanto. This tree-planting effort reflects the police force’s commitment to fostering environmental awareness while simultaneously bringing a sense of comfort and coolness to the public.

This activity serves as a continuation of the Green Policing program, which previously included a similar tree-planting event at the Presisi Parade Ground (Lapangan Apel Presisi) of the Polda Metro Jaya headquarters. On this occasion, 15 trees—including rambutan and guava—were planted within the Polda Metro Jaya complex. Key officials from the Polda Metro Jaya were also in attendance.

During the event, Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Adex Yudiswan explained, that the tree-planting initiative is more than just a greening effort, it also carries a deeper symbolic meaning regarding the role of the Polri in providing a sense of comfort and relief to the community.

“Through this tree-planting, we aim to create an environment that is greener, shadier, and cooler. This same spirit should be reflected in the presence of the police within the community—bringing a sense of comfort, providing security, and maintaining a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere,” stated Wakapolda Adex.

The Green Policing program is part of the “Safe Public Spaces” initiative—a component of the Kapolri’s 100-Day Priority Program, themed “Polisi Bersama Masyarakat”. The program is designed to promote environmental stewardship while fostering public spaces that are safe, clean, green, and comfortable. (Bembo)
