Furthermore, potential losses to the state amounting to hundreds of trillions of rupiah have been averted.

“Regarding the potential lives saved—based on the assumption that 1 gram of ketamine can be misused by 5 individuals—this seizure has successfully protected 5,8 million members of the nation’s future generation from the dangers of drug dependency,” said Jenderal Pol Suyudi on Friday, October 23, 2026.

He noted, that the evidence seized during a joint operation involving the Polri, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), and Customs and Excise is valued at Rp3,48 trillion. However, in terms of potential losses to the state, authorities have successfully prevented damages totaling Rp116 trillion.

“If we calculate the prevention of losses to the state and society—specifically the total costs that would be incurred by the state for rehabilitation (assuming a cost of Rp20 million per person for a 6-month program)—the figure is truly staggering,” Jenderal Pol Suyudi explained.

“We have effectively prevented rehabilitation costs amounting to Rp116 trillion,” he added.

Jenderal Pol Suyudi emphasized, that these figures serve as clear evidence of how toxic international drug syndicates are to national resilience. He further affirmed that the state remains steadfast and tireless in its commitment to protecting the younger generation from the threat of drug-related crimes.
