progresifjaya.co.id, CIREBON – In support of Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026, the Patrol Unit and the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) duty team of the Polsek Babakan, under the Polresta Cirebon, conducted mobile patrols and enforcement operations against motor vehicles equipped with exhausts that do not meet technical specifications—commonly known as noisy or brong exhausts—on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

This operation was carried out within the jurisdiction of the Polsek Babakan as part of an effort to improve traffic discipline and maintain public comfort.

During the operation, officers monitored passing vehicles and addressed public complaints regarding the use of noisy exhausts, which disrupt the peace of the local environment.

This enforcement also serves as a preventive measure to raise awareness among motorists, encouraging them to comply with traffic regulations and ensure their vehicle equipment adheres to established standards.

Kapolresta Cirebon, Kombes Pol Imara Utama, through the Kapolsek Babakan AKP Sugiharto stated, that this initiative reflects the police force’s commitment to ensuring safety, security, order, and smooth traffic flow.

Personnel in the field were also reminded to carry out their duties in accordance with standard operating procedures, maintain professionalism, and adopt a polite, humanistic approach when interacting with the public.

The use of exhausts that do not meet technical specifications may be subject to sanctions under Article 285, paragraph (1) of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation, provided that the elements of the violation are met.

Consequently, the public is urged to use standard, factory-compliant exhausts and to refrain from modifications that generate excessive noise or disturb other road users. The Polsek Babakan of the Polresta Cirebon are urging the public to support the Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026 by practicing orderly traffic behavior, adhering to traffic signs, and prioritizing safety while on the road.
