progresifjaya.co.id, INDRAMAYU – Public safety on the roads is the primary concern for the Polres Indramayu under the Polda of West Java during the implementation of Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026.

This point was emphasized by the Kapolres Indramayu, AKBP Prianggo, during his address at the Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026 troop deployment roll call on Monday, October 26, 2026.

Kapolres Prianggo stated, that the success of a traffic operation is not measured solely by the number of motorists penalized, but rather by the police’s ability to prevent accidents and safeguard the public.

“The success of our mission is not measured by the number of violations addressed, but by our capacity to prevent accidents, reduce fatalities, and raise public awareness,” asserted Kapolres Prianggo.

As is known, Operasi Patuh Lodaya 2026 is being conducted simultaneously across the jurisdiction of the Polda of West Java for 14 days, from October 26 to November 8, 2026.

The operation carries the theme: “Police and the Community Working Together to Realize Orderly, Safe, and Secure Traffic.”

Kapolres Prianggo explained, that this theme underscores that traffic safety is not solely the responsibility of the police, but is a shared duty of all road users.

Consequently, the operation must prioritize preemptive and preventive measures—such as public education, advisories, traffic management, and a persuasive, humanistic approach.

These efforts are also supported by professional law enforcement, including the use of electronic traffic law enforcement systems and the issuance of formal warnings in accordance with established regulations.

In his directives, the Kapolres Prianggo instructed personnel to map out accident-prone areas, identify potential traffic congestion points and common violations, and determine security measures tailored to the specific characteristics of each local area.

During the implementation of Operation Patuh Lodaya 2026, Kapolres Prianggo emphasized five key points to serve as a guide for all personnel.

First, prioritize public safety in every aspect of duty.

Second, emphasize education and a humanistic approach to help the public understand the importance of traffic discipline.

Third, carry out law enforcement in a firm, fair, professional, and responsible manner.

Fourth, strengthen coordination and inter-agency cooperation to support the smooth execution and effectiveness of the operation.

Fifth, implement close, tiered supervision and control to ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures.

The Kapolres Prianggo also reminded all personnel to maintain solidarity, ensure the readiness of facilities and infrastructure, and optimize available resources.
