Police Report Regarding TPKS on Campus Received to Polda Metro Jaya, Head of Public Relations: “PPA-PPO Directorate Will Handle It Seriously”

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A student with the initials A (24) from a private university in South Jakarta reported a lecturer with the initials Y (48) to Polda Metro Jaya for alleged sexual harassment.

A’s report has been registered under number LP/B/2611/IV/2026/SPKT/POLDAMETROJAYA, dated April 14, 2026. A reported Y for alleged violations of Article 414 of Law Number 1/2023 and/or Articles 6b and 6c of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence (TPKS).

“Yes, that’s right (a report was filed with the Polda Metro Jaya. (The person reported was) a lecturer with the initials Y,” A told the media on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Separately, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated, that the report regarding the alleged TPKS was filed at the Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The report was handled by the Directorate of Investigation for the Protection of Women and Children and the Eradication of Human Trafficking (Ditres PPA-PPO) of the Polda Metro Jaya.

“Yes, we have received the report at the Polda Metro Jaya’s Investigation Unit (SPKT). We have recommended its handling to the Ditres PPA and PPO, considering that the reported case relates to the alleged TPKS,” Kombes Pol Bhudi told the media.

He explained, that the Polda Metro Jaya will process every police report according to applicable legal mechanisms in a professional, objective, and transparent manner. Case handling will also be based on evidence and applicable laws and regulations.

Moreover, the Polda Metro Jaya is committed to taking every public report, especially those related to alleged sexual violence, seriously.

He also urged members of the public who have experienced, know about, or have information regarding a crime to immediately report it to the nearest police station or through the 110 service so that action can be taken promptly.

“Remain calm and respect the ongoing legal process. Give law enforcement officers space to work professionally based on the evidence. We will handle this seriously, in accordance with applicable legal provisions,” he said.
