progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Korlantas Polri is providing full support for the investigation into the collision between the Argo Bromo Anggrek train and the Commuter Line train at East Bekasi Station, West Java. The Korlantas Polri conducted a crime scene investigation using advanced traffic accident analysis (TAA) technology to reconstruct the incident in detail. This technology can reconstruct traffic accidents in accurate and detailed 3D.

The Head of Information and Data Collection and Processing (Pullahjianta) of the Traffic Accident Sub-Directorate of the Traffic Law Enforcement Directorate of the Korlantas Polri, Kompol Sandhi Wiedyanoe explained in a statement, that the Korlantas Polri has two types of TAA devices that can be used to support traffic accident investigations. The first is a static TAA and the other is a portable TAA.

“The static TAA is used to record the environment in 360 degrees, so we can see and illustrate it in 3D with 4K quality,” explained Kompol Sandhi, as reported on Korlantas.polri.go.id, Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

The recordings from the TAA investigation device can later be used as valid electronic evidence for further investigations. This evidence, Kompol Sandhi continued, will also be submitted to the public prosecutor and judge during the prosecution and trial.

“This becomes electronic evidence that can later be used in further traffic accident investigations. The results can also be presented to the prosecutor and judge as the basis for the prosecution and the judge’s decision,” he explained.

“We at Korlantas, particularly in collaboration with the Directorate of Law Enforcement (Ditgakkum) and the Directorate of Security and Safety (Ditkamsel), will coordinate to evaluate the many incidents involving green taxis. We will conduct an evaluation of the company,” Kompol Sandhi added.

Advanced static traffic accident analysis (TAA) technology used by the Korlantas Polri to process the crime scene of the collision between the Argo Bromo Anggrek and the Commuter Line KRL at East Bekasi Station.

He also stated, that this incident is expected to serve as a moment of evaluation for all parties, including railway operators, so they can further strengthen their safety and information systems in the field.

“As a result of this incident, i am confident that PT KAI will be more solid in terms of their information systems,” he added.

According to the results of the Korlantas Polri TAA investigation during the scene investigation, it is clear that the Argo Bromo Anggrek train was traveling at 110 kilometers per hour when it collided with the Commuter Line train (KRL) that was stopped on track 1 at East Bekasi Station on Monday evening, April 27, 2026. The high speed of the train was one of the factors that exacerbated the impact of the collision.

The disturbance began at a level crossing without barriers involving a Green SM electric taxi.

The vehicle experienced a short circuit and was hit by a KRL train traveling from Cikarang to Jakarta. As a result, other KRL trains were stopped at East Bekasi Station.

However, information regarding the emergency situation was allegedly not fully communicated to the Argo Bromo Anggrek train, which was traveling behind. Finally, brakkk. The rear carriage of the stopped Commuter Line train was brutally hit.

The Green SM electric taxi driver, suspected of being the initial instigator of the incident, is currently at the Bekasi City Metro Police Station for further questioning. Investigators are still searching for the root cause, not just a cock-out or a mistake.
