Kapolres Metro of Bekasi Distributes Food Packages to Women Workers in the Informal Sector on Kartini Day

The humanitarian social action of the Kapolres Metro of Bekasi, Kombes Pol Sumarni, distributed 400 food packages to women workers in the informal sector in Bekasi Regency.

progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI REGENCY — The Kapolres Metro of Bekasi, Kombes Pol Sumarni, demonstrated a humanitarian social act of care during the commemoration of Kartini Day on April 21, 2026. The three-jasmine policewoman led the distribution of 400 packages of basic food supplies to women workers in the informal sector in Bekasi Regency. The distribution lasted for two days, from Monday, April 20, 2026, to today.

This humanitarian social activity took place at several locations, including Sehati Park, Botanical Garden, and the Wibawa Mukti Stadium Complex in East Cikarang District on Monday. The group then traveled around Lippo Cikarang, Sentosa Park, Kh. Mamun Nawari Street, Cibarusah, Jababeka, and back to the Polres Metro of Bekasi Headquarters. The aid was distributed to female online motorcycle taxi drivers, cleaners, and small vendors who struggle to support their families financially.

During the distribution, the Kapolres was accompanied by several senior officials and the Polres Metro of Bekasi female police team. The recipients were immediately warmly welcomed by the police officers, who felt they were being recognized for their efforts amidst the hardships of everyday life.

The Kapolres Metro of Bekasi, Kombes Pol Sumarni stated in a statement, that this activity demonstrates the Polri’s concern for the community, especially women, who play a significant role not only within the family but also as breadwinners.

“Women are resilient individuals who play a vital role in social and family life. Through this activity, we want to provide encouragement and support to these women fighters in Bekasi Regency,” said Kombes Pol Sumarni.
