Sudirman CFD, Residents Take Advantage of Immigration Services to Apply for Passports

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Car Free Day (CFD) area on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta, was not only crowded with people exercising on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

At one activity point, dozens of residents also took advantage of the weekend to apply for passports through the PASPORIA (Passports for a Happy Sunday) service provided by the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Immigration Office.

The program, held at Wisma KEIAI, provided passport services in a public space with a different concept than typical immigration services.

Residents who had just finished running, cycling, or morning exercise immediately accessed the service, which opened at 6:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.

The Head of the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Immigration Office, Galih Priya Kartika Perdhana, said the program was designed to provide a more flexible service alternative for people with limited time on weekdays.

“We want to provide services that are more accessible to the public,” said Galih at the Soetta Immigration booth.

“PASPORIA provides citizens with the opportunity to apply for passports without having to disrupt their work activities or take time off,” he added.

According to him, the concept of public service is part of an effort to bring immigration services closer to the public while addressing the needs of urban residents with high mobility.

Public enthusiasm was evident in the high number of applicants who utilized the service.

Of the 50 applicants, 47 were successfully served, while three others chose to reschedule.

Forty applicants registered through the M-Passport application, while 10 others used the walk-in service available at the event location.

In addition to processing new and replacement passport applications, officers also offer consultations on various immigration issues.

Citizens can obtain direct information regarding international travel requirements and applicable immigration regulations.

One of the most popular services is passport delivery to the applicant’s address.  Of the 47 applicants served, 38 chose to use the document delivery service, eliminating the need to return to the immigration office after the passport issuance process was completed.

This activity also attracted the attention of the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), who personally inspected the service while in the CFD area.

The implementation of PASPORIA is part of an effort to transform public services to be more adaptive to people’s activity patterns.

By offering services on weekends and in public spaces, the Soekarno-Hatta Immigration Office strives to expand service access while improving public convenience in processing immigration documents.

The entire process took place safely and orderly. Going forward, the Soekarno-Hatta Class I Special Immigration Office (TPI) stated that it will continue to develop various service innovations that are fast, transparent, and easily accessible to the public.
