The Brimob of the Polda Metro and the Polres Metro of East Jakarta 3P Patrol Unit Broke Up Illegal Racing on Jalan Malaka

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of the Polda Metro Jaya and the Precision Pioneer Patrol (3P) of the Polres Metro of East Jakarta conducted a joint patrol in the early hours of Saturday, April 25, 2026. This patrol targeted several vulnerable areas in East Jakarta to prevent illegal racing and brawls.
At the start of the patrol, the situation was observed to be safe and conducive. However, as the early hours approached, patrol officers received a public report of illegal racing on Jalan Malaka. Patrol officers immediately proceeded to the location to verify the situation and prevent any potential for further disruption.
Upon arrival, patrol officers immediately broke up the activity, which appeared to be illegal racing. Several teenagers who had gathered were also found to be spectators.
An immediate inspection was conducted and several vehicles were found to be without the required documents and equipment. These vehicles were taken as evidence to the Polres Metro of East Jakarta. The situation at the location returned to normal without further disturbances.
The Head of the Brimob Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto stated in a statement, that a quick response to public reports is a priority for patrol officers to maintain security.
“We immediately follow up on every information received, especially potentially dangerous information such as illegal racing, to ensure the situation remains safe and under control,” said Kombes Pol Henik in a statement on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
He also urged the public not to participate in illegal racing activities, either as participants or spectators. If you encounter any potential security disturbances, immediately report them to the 110 call center so they can be handled quickly and appropriately.
