Without strengthening and enhancing this synergy, a stable and conducive public order and security situation is nearly impossible.

This was the statement made by the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, during the opening ceremony of the 14th Congress of the United Islamic Youth (PERSIS) at the Sutan Raja Hotel, Soreang, Bandung Regency, West Java, on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

The Kapolri also explained, that current technological developments are often exploited by criminals. This includes the widespread spread of misleading misinformation. This is further exacerbated by other crimes such as drug abuse, cybercrime, and sexual crimes, which also harm society.

The Kapolri continued, explaining that the appropriate way to address all these criminal challenges is through synergy and support from all elements of the Indonesian nation.

“Of course, we hope that PERSIS, with all its strength and cadres, can work together with us and the Polri. We also realize that the Polri cannot stand alone. The Polri cannot work alone without the support of all elements of the nation,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

Persis, he continued, will continue to strengthen synergy and solidarity with the Polri in the future to maintain public order and security in the face of all emerging challenges.

“Of course, i hope that the collaboration, friendship, and kinship between the Polri and PERSIS will continue to improve and become stronger. We are confident that together, we will be able to face various challenges for the nation and fulfill our national mandate,” explained Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

The Kapolri also addressed the current global situation, which remains full of uncertainty. This undoubtedly impacts all countries, including Indonesia.

According to him, President Prabowo Subianto continues to make his best efforts by launching several programs for the good of the Indonesian nation.  Therefore, said the Kapolri, all elements of society, along with the president and the government, must unite to face all kinds of global challenges that are entering the country.

“So, this is a challenge that we must face together, and of course, this is also the task and homework of the youth, especially those who will face things like this, and how we can continue to exist and contribute. We must be enthusiastic to work together to protect and face the current situation,” the Kapolri emphasized.

In the past, continued Kapolri Listyo Sigit, Indonesia once fought together to repel colonial rule. The struggle of the fighters at that time prioritized maintaining the values of unity and integrity.

The Kapolri believes that this spirit and motivation still exist today. With the spirit of unity and integrity from all elements of the nation, all forms of challenges can be faced.

“We all share the same spirit, the same sense of unity and integrity amidst our differences. That is a gift to the Indonesian nation that we must maintain,” the Kapolri concluded his statement.
