progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya held a ceremony to commemorate the 97th Youth Pledge Day in 2025 at the Precision Field of the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday (28/10). Acting as the ceremony inspector was the Irwasda Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Sri Satyatama.
On this occasion, Kombes Pol Sri Satyatama read the message from the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia. The message emphasized the importance of the fighting spirit and unity of Indonesian youth amidst the increasingly complex challenges of the times.
“Today, we no longer raise sharpened bamboo spears. Instead, we raise knowledge, hard work, and honesty. But the spirit remains the same: Indonesia must stand tall; Indonesia must not lose,” said Kombes Pol Sri Satyatama reading the Minister of Youth and Sports message.
“We need young people who are patriotic, persistent, and empathetic. Young people who love their country through concrete actions, who remain standing when storms come,” he continued.
The address also included a message from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, who has always been an inspiration to the younger generation.
“As the President has always stated and exemplified: Don’t be afraid to dream big. Don’t be afraid to fail. You are not mere appendages to history. You are the ones who determine the next chapter of history,” said Kombes Pol Sri Satyatama.
The ceremony then concluded with the spirit of “Youth Greetings,” which echoed throughout the field. Kombes Pol Sri Satyatama also encouraged all participants to maintain the fighting spirit of their predecessors by making real contributions to society.
“Let us keep the flame of this struggle burning. Let us prove that the Indonesian nation is a great nation, a strong nation, just, prosperous, and respected worldwide,” he exclaimed at the end of his address.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, personnel from the Polda Metro Jaya, and representatives of the Polri civil servants. This ceremony also served as a moment for collective reflection on the role of the younger generation in maintaining national unity and realizing the ideals of independence. (Bembo)
