progresifjaya.co.id, BANDUNG – Six students suspected of the May Day riots on Jalan Tamansari, Bandung City, West Java, have tested positive for the prescription drug Tramadol. Therefore, the Polda of West Java Narcotics Directorate is following up on this case.
In addition to the positive urine test results, various types of psychotropic drugs were also seized from one of the suspects. The types of drugs included Alprazolam, Mersi, Euforis, and Risperidone.
“We also seized various attributes indicating a group of ‘dissident students’ and anti-fascists from the perpetrators’ bags,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda of West Java, Kombes Pol Hendra Rochmawan, on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Kombes Pol Hendra stated, that this situation is truly concerning. In addition to carrying out anarchic acts, the suspects, who are also students, were apparently under the influence of the illegal drug Tramadol during their actions.
“We will conduct a thorough investigation into the origin of the drugs and the motivation behind the symbols of resistance they carried. Therefore, we also urge parents to closely monitor their children’s social interactions and activities to prevent them from becoming trapped in the vortex of anarchism and drug abuse,” he explained.
He also stated, that his team will investigate the involvement of certain groups suspected of trying to exploit students to incite violence.
